Accredited Guardianship Organisations The Trustees are very pleased to award accreditation to Abacus Guardians in December 2012. This brings our total guardianship organisations in membership to 26.
AEGIS holds another successful conference The conference held at Malvern St James on the 18th October 2012 was a great success. Mark Taylor from The Taylor Partnership Ltd gave a very informative and entertaining talk on "Managing the ever changing world of Tier 4." It covered why Tier 4 is needed, new changes and the common problems faced by staff and students dealing with Tier 4. Understanding Tier 4 is essential for schools and guardianship organisations, with the students' welfare being the key factor in any decision making.
Rosalind Hayes, the Chairman of the AEGIS Advisory Committee, ended the day with a helpful summary of the AEGIS Accreditation Programme and inspection process for Guardianship Organisations.
Thank you to Malvern St James for looking after the delegates so well and for a delicious lunch.
Some feedback from the day:
"Thank you for organising such an interesting and informative conference yesterday ... it was a great opportunity to meet a number of guardianship organisations we work with and learn a little more about what you do at AEGIS."
"Many thanks for a good day. I was pleased to be able to make several new acquaintances."
