Membership - Benefits for Accredited
Guardianship Organisations
1. Be part of an organisation which receives the support of the BSA, HMC, GSA, IAPS, SHMIS, ISA, The Independent Schools Council, the British Council, Social Services, the DfES, the DTI and Child Safe.
2. Be inspected and accredited by impartial, objective and trained Ofsted and ISI inspectors to demonstrate that your organisation offers legally compliant and best practice in all areas of guardianship.
3. Be part of the promotion of organisations by the AEGIS Advisory Committee, the British Council and governmental and non-governmental organisations with influence in child welfare matters.
4. Have a voice in national policy relating to the care of international students through representations of the Advisory Committee.
5. Work with the many schools who as a result of DfES and Social Services recommendations, will now only recommend the official AEGIS list of accredited Guardianship Organisations.
6. Use AEGIS logo on stationery and promotional material.
7. Use the Child Safe logo.
8. Have access to a network of colleagues and professionals able to offer help, advice and mutual support.
9. Attend AEGIS conferences and seminars at a reduced rate.
10. Have links on the AEGIS website.
